“The writer clearly wasn’t concerned about these contradictions. That’s quite embarrassing.”

One of the most prominent early Christian theologians, Origen of Alexandria, wrote:

“Which sensible person would ever believe such contradictions?”

This was said nearly 1800 years ago, showing that doubts about the Bible’s consistency existed even among early Christian scholars.
